A Bit of A Scare...

We had a bit of a scare during the Christmas Holiday.  I had a Dr. Apt on Friday the 23rd and my blood pressure was high.  My Dr thought I could have preclampsia, which causes the mom's vital organs to stop working as good.  If not treated (delivery of the baby), it could cause her organs to shut down.  It is a big deal, my Dr. was making me pretty nervous!!  She had me go to the hospital and get some tests run and to also monitor the baby for awhile.  Thankfully Wesley's heart rate was fine and he was moving around and kicking.  It was determined that I didn't have preclampsia but I did have pregnancy induced hypertension (high blood pressure).  She put me on bed rest until my next appointment today the 29th.  My blood pressure is still high but I do not have preclampsia.  My next appointment is on Tuesday and if my blood pressure is still high she is going to induce me on Thursday night.  I could still go in to labor naturally but if I haven't by next Thursday I will most likely be induced.  So another week on bed rest... not looking forward to that!!  Thankfully I can do some work from home, but I'm a planner and this was not in my plan!  I guess this is mother natures way of preparing me for a child...  things don't always go as planned!  We are nervous but mostly excited to meet this boy!!

On a funner note, we got the last big thing for Wesley, a stroller and car seat!!  I actually found it on KSL, new and still in the box for about $30 cheaper than if I would have bought it from the store.  My parents picked it up for us in Salt Lake and brought it out to us in Tooele.  My Dad wouldn't take the money for it, so THANKS MOM & DAD!!  What would I do without them, they have been so awesome!!

Also, here are some pictures of Wesley's room mostly done and decorated...

Week 25 - Week 30

                                         Week 25                               Week 30

I feel HUGE now... I'm good if my belly doesn't grow any more...  Why do I not thing that is going to happen....

Halloween

I've been looking forward to wearing this maternity shirt from the day my sister gave it to me...

29 Weeks

Travis isn't too good with the camera, sorry!

Baby Shower!!

My Sister, Mom & Grandma put together the cutest shower for me!!  The theme was "Cassie & Travis Sitting In A Tree."  Everything tied into birds and that poem.  The invitations were the best!!

I don't have a picture of the back but the back said "Then comes a baby in a baby carriage."  They were really cute!!

My Mom & Sister put in a lot of work and it turned out adorable!!  We ate sandwiches, fruit, and dip, then had the yummiest Sweet Tooth Fairy cupcakes.  Then we opened presents.  I didn't get pictures with very many people and I didn't get a picture of each present.  Here are a couple though...

Rhonda got us the most comfortable rocking chair and Dari, Kara & Monica got us a play-yard!

We got lots of clothes!!  Wesley's closet and dresser are already half way full!!

My Mom & Sister made this awesome diaper tricycle!!

Travis's Mom, Brother & Sister-In-Law made us this Carolina Gamecocks quilt.  They also sent a Marcus Lattamer jersey (Travis's favorite Gamecock player).

Keena made us this sports car seat cover and onesie.

Eric & Denise got us this swing!!  Joseph (their 6 week old baby) tried it out first, so we know it's a good one!!

Travis's cousins also had a shower for us a couple weeks ago... I didn't have my camera though so I have no pictures =(  They had a couples shower so it was a BBQ and all the guys were invited too!!  Travis had a great time hanging out with the guys and I enjoyed visiting with the girls.  His cousin's daughter is pregnant with TWINS... and Travis's niece is pregnant with her 4th baby...  so the girls had a lot to visit about.  We had a great time!!

We are so amazed and grateful for how generous our friends and family were.  We are so lucky to have the best friends and family!!

Because Carlie Asked...

Here are some after Pics of Wesley's Room:

Walls before the furniture was moved back in...  FYI - don't ever paint with red!!  What a pain in the butt!!

It was worth it in the end though, it turned out really cute!

With the furniture in the room...

Sorry, a dark picture!  But it shows the curtains I made.

The glider Rhonda gave us.  I love to just sit in the room and glide!

The Hutch my Mom bought us.  I think the paint turned out so cute!!  It was a ton of work, but worth it!!  My sister ordered us a decal with Wesley's name that we are going to put on the wall behind the crib.  I'm so excited to hang it up!  We are also going to hang pictures of our Grandpa's that Wesley is going to be named after.  I still need to find some sports accents to decorate with, but after that we will be done!!

Week 20 - Week 25

         Week 20                                 Week 25

My belly hasn't grown that much so I'm showing pictures
in 5 week increments so it looks bigger.  It is getting there
though.  Wesley is now 1.5 pounds and 8.5 inches long
and should double in the next 4 weeks.

Wesley's Room - Preview

We've decided on colors for Wesley's room and this past weekend I made curtains and a crib skirt.  It was a lot of work but I think they turned out pretty cute.

We love the colors together and are looking forward to doing more work in Wesley's room!

Practice Round...

Travis and I got a little practice a couple weeks ago babysitting our nephews for the weekend.  Nathanial is 4 years old and Kellan is 4 months old.  We had so much fun playing with the dogs, riding bikes, and giving Kellan a bath.  We had a lot of fun but are glad we are only having one at a time!

It was a lot of work and I wish I would have known that Kellan was hungry all the time.  I think I starved the poor kid to death... Oh well, they survived and so did we!!
